How we approach commercial electrical work

How it works

From Enquiry To A Clear Scope.

Good electrical work starts with useful information. Here’s what to expect.

  1. 01

    Tell Us About The Premises

Share the postcode, building use and work needed. Include your timescale and any limits on access or power interruptions.

  2. 02

    Agree The Right Assessment

Confirm the service, records and survey requirements. A suitable local firm can respond once you have agreed to share your enquiry.

  3. 03

    Define The Work

Review a scope and quotation that identify the deliverables, practical arrangements and any exclusions before work is booked.

A Few Useful Answers.

All electrical FAQs
Is A Commercial EICR The Same As Fixed Wire Testing?

A commercial EICR is the written condition report produced after periodic inspection and testing, often marketed as fixed wire testing. Confirm that your quotation includes both the site work and the report, along with schedules and limitations. The terms should not lead to duplicate bookings for the same installation.

Is Annual PAT Testing A Legal Requirement?

Annual PAT testing is not a universal legal requirement for workplace appliances. The duty is to maintain equipment safely, with the approach based on risk. Equipment type, use, environment and previous findings should guide the plan, rather than applying the same testing interval to every item in every workplace.

Will Fixed Wire Testing Interrupt The Power?

Fixed wire testing usually involves some power interruptions because parts of the installation need to be safely isolated. The affected circuits and practical timing should be agreed in advance. Identify sensitive systems and restart procedures early, and do not assume that an occupied building can be tested without any shutdowns.
